The College of Engineering offers six baccalaureate degree programs that are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET,

  • Chemical Engineering (BS)
  • Civil Engineering (BS)
  • Computer Engineering (BS)
  • Electrical Engineering (BS)
  • Industrial Engineering (BS)
  • Mechanical Engineering (BS)

ABET accreditation can be granted only if at least one student has graduated from the designated program, so the initial accreditation visit for our Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering degree will happen soon. Per ABET, retroactive accreditation may be granted to cover students who graduated up to two academic years prior to the evaluation visit.

Why Accreditation Matters

ABET accreditation assures that programs meet standards to produce graduates ready to enter critical technical fields that are leading the way in innovation and emerging technologies, and anticipating the welfare and safety needs of the public.

Sought worldwide, ABET’s voluntary peer-review process is highly respected because it adds critical value to academic programs in the technical disciplines, where quality, precision, and safety are of the utmost importance.
