Alumna Rena Bizios, who earned her BS degree from the Chemical Engineering Department in 1968, has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (AAA&S). Bizios was previously elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2022, the National Academy of Inventors in 2019, and the National Academy of Medicine in 2015.
The College of Engineering has established the William W. Boyer Endowed Professorship in the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Department, a distinguished position created to attract or retain outstanding faculty members to CEE.
