On Saturday, October 19, the College of Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst held its fourth annual Outstanding Alumni Awards Luncheon during Homecoming Weekend. The luncheon included the presentation of College of Engineering Outstanding Junior and Senior Alumni Awards to eight individuals who, through exemplary accomplishments, epitomize the potential of an education at the UMass Amherst College of Engineering. These accomplished alumni also embody the college’s mission, to educate the engineering leaders of tomorrow and help drive the economy of today. Recipients of the College of Engineering 2013 Outstanding Senior Alumni Award have brought recognition and honor to the College of Engineering through their professional achievements, leadership, and service to the profession, university, and society. This year’s recipients are: Massoud Amin, B.S. ’82, M.S. ’85, Electrical and Computer Engineering; John M. Cryan, B.S. ’58, Mechanical Engineering; Paul D. Engel, B.S. ’74, Computer Systems Engineering; Kenneth A. Lloyd, B.S. ’73, Mechanical Engineering; Michael S. Sarli, B.S. ’75, Chemical Engineering.
