Mechanical Engineering / Graduation Date: 2021

Hello! I am a junior studying mechanical engineering here at UMass Amherst. This is my first year working for the DPO and I am very excited to help to help promote diversity and inclusion in the College of Engineering.

I have been fascinated with cars ever since I was young, and one of my career goals is to help design cars that are more environmentally-friendly.

Civil Engineering / Graduation Date: 2021

Hi, I am a third year student at UMass Amherst and a third year hire for the diversity programs office. I’m studying civil engineering, and my main interests are sustainability and environmental issues. On campus I am involved with the Society of Women Engineers and Iota Gamma Upsilon. Last semester I was abroad in Ireland at UCD (please shoot me an email if you have any questions about studying abroad as an engineering student!) I am excited to continue to work in the DEI and contribute to an inclusive community in the department of engineering!

I am currently a junior studying chemical engineering with a concentration in biochemical engineering. I am a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and this is  my first year working for the DPO. I spent last spring semester studying at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland and would encourage any engineering student to study abroad! I am happy to be a part of the UMass College of Engineering community and I am excited to help make this community more inclusive.
