The Tech Challenge is a new invention and technology-based competition open to all UMass students and graduates of the last decade (GOLD alums). In the first Tech Challenge, held online via Zoom on Wednesday, November 3, ideators presented their technology/invention-based idea or prototype to a panel of judges for advice and competed for a prize pool of $15,000.

Competitors were given four minutes to pitch their tech/invention-based idea with slides, followed by an eight-minute question and answer period. Winners will be announced on November 17 at the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Awards Night.
